Welcome, fellow Howardites...
...To this fan site in tribute to the folk of the fictional town of Tarrant - in other words, The Tarrant Set! These good people - and their boats - livened up our Sunday nights in "Howards' Way" on BBC1, every autumn between 1985 and 1990. And musical maestro Simon May set our TVs rocking with the awesome, spectacular theme tune (which I for one was obssessed with...)!!
Anyone who grew up in the 1980s will know what I am talking about! I am talking about the Howard family who live and breathe boats, and a few of their closest friends. You will find character studies for many of them on here!
Dive in and take a swim! Have a sail around the Needles (but not too close, mind...) and catch up with all your favourite Tarrant residents - then come and say 'Hi!' over a pint in The Jolly Sailor (the Forum).
